I was DJing in Nottingham the other week when a character emerged out of the gloom and pressed a CD into my hand. The character in question was mashup Maestro Jack B Nimble and the CD was his latest mixtape. Ranging everywhere from Funky House to Bashment to Bassline to Balkan Beat with a smattering of breaks and even a smidgen of Chaka Demus. Its bascially an hour of straight up party bangers, perfect for a drab autumn Monday.

The Benga Bus is Coming

I’ve been enjoying these two cheeky bootlegs from the wonderfully named Benga Boys. Taking Benga’s already party friendly Night and Crunked Up and mashing them together with the infectious pop of Kid Cudi’s Day and Night and Outkast’s Stankonia classic The Whole World.
